hello fellow traveler! because i have not played with "get control" very much and it seems a bit sticky, i used an event-listener type of technique where i keep hitting the "modify" button that the control will have when it appears; then i wait for the next window which IS visible; fortunately no other control is affected; questionable but it works well and fast
